The St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store is charity in action through the hearts and hands of our volunteers. Thrift Store team members assist with many daily tasks including warehouse sorters and receivers, organizers, and pricers. This is a great opportunity to serve, give back to the community, and help our neighbors in need. Volunteering at the Thrift Store also allows us to maintain affordable operating costs for the organization. Volunteers have the option of working one or multiple scheduled shifts.
The time slots available are as follows:
Tuesday - Saturday
9:30am - 2:00pm
1:00pm - 5:30pm
Many tasks are available including warehouse sorting, receiving and cleaning donations, and preparing items to display on the store floor. If you have a unique talent or skill, please let us know as we may be able to utilize your talents for the bettermment of the store. To volunteer, please fill out the form below.
Community Outreach volunteers will distribute assistance, including bus passes, clothing vouchers, snack packs, and household and hygiene items, to Central Texas neighbors in need. Client services responsibilities may also include stocking, inventory tasks, and other duties as assigned. Ideal opportunity for those interested in social services. Community Outreach is open at these posted times.
Data entry volunteers will assist with updating CMS records, filing paperwork, and developing monthly reports for client services at the Vincentian Family Center. Flexible hours. Volunteers needed Tuesday-Friday. You can also work from home.
Food pantry volunteers assist in stocking and inventory of food items, as well in the preparation of food boxes to be distributed to neighbors. Great hands-on opportunity for those interested in direct client services. Volunteers are needed on Fridays (9:00 am - 5:00 pm, request that volunteers work at least a 2 hours shift.) and Saturdays (7:30 am - Noon). The food pantry is open to neighbors Saturdays from 8:00am-11:00am.
Volunteers are needed to help answer the phones, make referreals, data entry, and other administrative duties as needed. Volunteers who work in the office will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.
