If you have men who will exclude any of God’s creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men. – St. Francis of Assisi
Pets are truly members of the family. They serve as our loyal companions, guardians, and comforters. However, those in need do not always have the financial resources to cover costly vet visits, and their pets go without care and regular checkups.
Fortunately, we can help! The Society is hosting a special vet clinic on Saturday, April 15 from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the VFC to provide basic veterinary care onsite. In partnership with The Oliver Project, we invite our neighbors in need to bring their furry friends to the VFC to meet with veterinarians for a consultation, vaccinations, pet food, and supplies at no cost.
All attendees will receive a report card with information from their pet’s checkup, including doctor’s findings and treatment plans.
- Comprehensive exam by licensed veterinarian
- Rabies vaccine, certificate, and tag
- Distemper vaccine
- Heartworm test
- Heartworm preventive
- Flea treatment and preventive
- Basic prescription meds
- Wound care
- Nail trim
- Educational materials
Each dog who comes to the clinic will also receive a care package with dog food and pet supplies. We can provide a care package for cats, too!
We hope to see your furry friend on April 15!
