2010 Friends of the Poor Walk

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul - Diocesan Council of Austin will host its 3rd annual Friends of the Poor Walk on September 25, 2010 at East Metropolitan Park on Blake Manor Road. Registration begins at 8:00am, and the walk begins at 9:00am.

All funds raised during the 2010 Walk benefit our struggling neighbors inCentral Texas. Given our current economic climate, the number of people requesting assistance from the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is on the rise, and unfortunately, our resources are limited. The Annual Friends of the Poor Walk offers the Society the opportunity to immediately generate much needed funds for direct service to the poor.
